IQALUIT, NUNAVUT 2002
Date: 04 September 2002
My trek began in Ottawa as I boarded First Air flight 872 to fly to Iqaluit, the
capital of Nunavut, 1324 nautical miles NNE. Three hours later, the BOA727
delivered me, shown below on the ramp.
This is the air terminal building. Because of it's bright colour, it can be seen from just about anywhere in Iqaluit. The picture is slightly out of focus because I was in a moving vehicle at the time.
These two gentlemen met me at the airport when I arrived. Jeff Mahoney, on the left, is from Air Nunavut and the fellow on the right is Bert Barr, Canadian Helicopters.
